According to Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol, Tottenham Hotspur have offered Eric Dier to Bayern Munich, and Borussia Dortmund are also interested in the player.

Some of the most experienced and long-serving players at Tottenham have either left the club or are looking set to depart before the transfer window shuts later this week.

We have already seen Harry Winks move on to Championship side Leicester, while club legend Harry Kane ended a summer-long saga by joining Bayern Munich earlier this month.

The exodus may not be over just yet, either. According to Michael Bridge on Sky Sports’ Football Daily, Spurs are looking to sell as many as eight first-team players, including Hugo Lloris, Davinson Sanchez, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, and Eric Dier.

The latter has been at the club since 2014 and has made 361 appearances for Spurs (Transfermarkt), but it has been suggested that Dier could be used as a makeweight in a potential deal for Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo (Sky Sports).

Eric Dier offered to two German giants

Now, it has been revealed by Kaveh Solhekol (via Football Daily) that Dier has been offered to Bayern Munich, while fellow German club Borussia Dortmund are also keen on signing the England international.

Solhekol said: “There is a bit of a German tug-of-war going on at the moment for him. As far as Eric Dier is concerned, all the information we had is that he wanted to stay at Spurs. He had a troubling groin injury in the second half of last season, he had surgery and made a good recovery. He was fit and raring to go.

“He wanted to work under Ange Postecoglou, but for whatever reason, he hasn’t had a chance at Spurs. He is looking at other options, and he has two very good options in Germany. One at Bayern Munich, where he would get to play and work with his best friend, Harry Kane.

“Borussia Dortmund are pushing very hard to sign him, too. I think it would be a very good move for him. At his best, he is a good player, who is very versatile.”

In addition to this, it has just been confirmed by Sami Mokbel for the Daily Mail that Dier will not play a part in Spurs’ Carabao Cup tie with Fulham this evening, as speculation mounts over his future amid the links to Bayern Munich.

A move to either of these clubs in Germany would be a great switch for Dier. Hopefully, this situation gets resolved one way or another quickly, so that we can bring in a replacement before the window shuts.
