Tottenham Hotspur head coach Antonio Conte is said to be an admirer of Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips.
The Telegraph claim that while there is interest in the England international, it is not known whether Spurs chairman Daniel Levy would be prepared to match any offer that Manchester United would be prepared to table to the Elland Road outfit.
Manchester United interim head coach Ralph Rangnick had already admitted that the former Premier League champions are set to overhaul their squad this summer with a number of new arrivals which is expected to be headed up by Erik ten Hag (Sky Sports).
The 26-year-old has starred for Leeds over the last couple of seasons under former boss Marcelo Bielsa, earning himself a regular place in Gareth Southgate’s England squad.
Phillips is under contract at Leeds until the summer of 2024 with his current club reported to be prepared to offer him a new, improved deal in order to stave off interest from other Premier League clubs (The Times).

Tottenham’s ‘homegrown’ player balancing act is something the club needs to address this summer, however, a move for an established England international would come at a premium.
