Tottenham Hotspur haven’t bought a player for over a year now, going the last two transfer windows without bringing in any new faces.

Spurs are the first Premier League club in history to do this, with their last signing being ex-PSG winger Lucas Moura.

Tottenham’s next signing could also be a winger, swapping PSG for PSV, as the North London outfit are apparently still keen on Dutch star Steven Bergwijn.

De Telegraaf report that Spurs are looking to secure the signature of the pacey winger, but will have to pay over £30m to do so.

The 21-year-old has been turning plenty of heads this season, scoring 12 goals and setting up a further 13 in 32 games.

The report also claims that Liverpool, Man United, Borussia Dortmund, Inter Milan, and Bayern Munich are looking at the youngster, so Spurs could face some stuff competition.

However, Bergwijn is quickly becoming one of the most promising young talents in Europe and looks to be worth the risk.
