It has been reported by Sky Sports Chief Reporter Bryan Swanson that PSV have confirmed Tottenham have made an approach for winger Steven Bergwijn.
This comes after the Daily Mail reported that Spurs had turned their attentions towards the player this transfer window, with Mourinho keen to add attacking flair to the squad.
PSV later confirmed that Bergwijn had been left out of their squad to face FC Twente today, only adding fuel to the rumours.
The Mail claim that Bergwijn could cost Tottenham around £21m in the January market, if they wish to bring him to White Hart Lane before the window closes.
This season, Bergwijn has played 29 games across all competitions for PSV, scoring six goals and assisting another 13 (TransferMarkt).
The winger also impressed last season by netting 15 goals and assisting 13 more in 41 games for PSV (TransferMarkt).
Spurs Web Opinion:
If Tottenham are getting Bergwijn and a striker, then I am all for it. If Bergwijn is instead of a striker, then it is a poor decision from Daniel Levy.
