The PSV interim coach, Ernest Faber, has now confirmed to Fox Sports that Steven Bergwijn wants to leave the Dutch club.
This comes after Bryan Swanson, Chief Reporter at Sky Sports, claimed that PSV had confirmed an approach from Tottenham for the player today.
The Daily Mail added that Spurs had turned their attentions towards the player in a potential £21m deal this transfer window.
There are now just four days left of the January window for Spurs to get this deal done.
After Bergwijn was left out of today’s squad to face FC Twente, Faber told the press that the player wants to leave:
