Tottenham Hotspur have now officially announced the signing of Steven Bergwijn, their third incoming transfer of this January window.

The 22-year-old winger joins from PSV, one of Tottenham’s Champions League group stage opponents from last season during their route to the final.

However, Bergwijn will now swap the Eredivisie for the Premier League, catching Tottenham’s eye with his impressive 15 goals in 41 games last season (Wikipedia).

Bergwijn had stints in the Ajax and PSV academy system before coming through at the latter and playing a total of 146 games for the senior side, scoring 31 goals.

The winger also already has seven senior caps for the Netherlands senior international side, as well as three Eredivisie titles to his name.

Sky Sports report that Bergwijn is set to cost Spurs £25.6m plus add-ons as he becomes the third signing of the window for the Lilywhites after Gedson Fernandes on loan and Giovani Lo Celso on a permanent deal.
