Harry Kane is still in with an outside chance of winning the European Golden Boot, with the striker now sitting second in the standings behind Manchester City’s Erling Haaland.
The freakish season that Haaland is having in front of goal following his switch to Man City last summer has perhaps meant that Kane has not received as much credit has he deserves for his exploits.

The Tottenham man is quietly having an outstanding campaign in front of goal, having clinched both the club’s and England’s all-time goal records recently.
Kane’s match-winner against Burnley was his 23rd Premier League league goal of the season in 30 matches so far.
The European Golden Boot points system gives two points for a goal in a top-five league (Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, and Ligue 1) and 1.5 points for a goal in the other European leagues.
According to Transfermarkt, Haaland is leading the table with 60 points after 30 league goals while Kane sits in second place, seven goals and 14 points behind the Norwegian.

Realistically, with just eight league games left this season, Kane is not going to catch Haaland, particularly with the Man City star showing no signs of slowing down in front of goal.
However, the Tottenham man could end up with 30 league goals this season, which would be a phenomenal achievement in a team that has struggled to create chances for the majority of the campaign.
