According to a report in Defensa Central, Tottenham have now been offered a chance to sign Udinese striker Beto.
Beto completed a permanent switch to Udinese last summer after impressing during his loan spell at the club during the previous season and the striker ended the 2022-23 campaign with 10 goals from 33 Serie A appearances (Transfermarkt).
Spurs have been offered the chance to sign Beto
Defensa Central claim that the 6-foot-3-inch centre-forward is now on the lookout for a new club, with the player’s agent alleged to have ‘made contact’ with Spurs and Real Madrid.
However, it is explained that neither club have shown an interest in snapping up Beto so far.
It is suggested that the reason could be Udinese’s asking price of €30m (£25.6m), with ‘no club’ willing to meet that price so far.
The report asserts that the Italian could thus have to reduce their demands over the coming weeks if they hope to sell the 25-year-old.
Spurs Web Opinion
With Kane now looking extremely likely to stay and with Richarlison more than capable of covering for the centre-forward role, I do not see Spurs entering the market for another number nine this summer.
A wide forward is likely to be on Postecoglou’s agenda following Moura’s and Danjuma’s departure.
