Harry Kane has found a surprising ally in Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp who has played down the fuss over the strikers eagerness to beat Mohamed Salah to the Premier League Golden Boot.

Harry enhanced his chances of winning the prize for the third straight season when he was awarded Spurs’ second goal in last weekend’s 2-1 win at Stoke, after it had originally been credited to Christian Eriksen.

It took Kane’s tally to 25 goals for the campaign, for the third season in a row and left him four behind Liverpool’s Salah who, along with a number of his team-mates, immediately took to Twitter and appeared to question the decision.

However Klopp, speaking at his press conference on Friday, said: “I know Harry, he’s a fantastic player. He looks like a good guy. If he felt it then he felt it”
