Tottenham Hotspur came into this season facing many challenges, and have overcome them all to claim their best ever start to a Premier League campaign after 17 games.
Nine of the Tottenham first team played the maximum number of games at the World Cup, handing Poch little preparation time.
They have also had to contend with a new stadium, or absence there of, playing every game away from home so far this season.
They have been struck down with injury problems, have played more away games that their rivals, and are still just six points off the League leaders.
Somehow, without even strengthening their squad in the summer, Tottenham are already in a cup semi final, the knockouts of the Champions League, and a Prem title race.
One man who is impressed is Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, who stated Tottenham’s start to the campaign has been ‘massive’ after so many hurdles.
He said (Liverpool Echo): “Tottenham had so many injury problems, the shortest break after the World Cup, no pre-season and won all the games in a difficult situation. Now they are six points behind us. Wow. That’s massive.”
