Sergio Ramos has urged Harry Kane not to turn down an opportunity to join Real Madrid, remarking that it is ‘special’ to represent Los Blancos.
It has been widely reported by various Spanish outlets over the past few days that Harry Kane is Real’s top target to replace Karim Benzema, who is on his way to Saudi Arabia.
Marca claimed a couple of days ago that the La Liga giants had already reached out to the England captain’s entourage, with the player said to be keen on making the switch.
The report added that Daniel Levy is open to selling the centre-forward to a club outside the Premier League.
Alfredo Pedulla then reported today that a deal is ‘very close’ between Spurs and Madrid, with the two clubs agreeing on a fee ‘in principle’.
The Daily Mail claimed on Monday that while Levy would be willing to sell the 29-year-old for £80m plus achievable add-ons later in the transfer window, there is a sense at the North London club that Madrid would be reluctant to pay such a fee.
Sergio Ramos is certainly not in any doubt that the Tottenham man is good enough to wear the famous shirt of the 14-time European champions.
When asked about his former club’s interest in Kane, the Spaniard told The Mirror: “My advice to any player is don’t turn down the opportunity to play for Real Madrid – it is a special club who know how to win.
“He (Harry Kane) has an incredible physical presence – you can’t score as many goals as he does in The Premier League and not be able to play the physical side of the game.
“But also he can play the technical side of the game as well and I don’t think he gets enough credit for that. Yes, he is a great goal scorer but also he is a great football player as well.”

Kane might perhaps be tempted to join Real Madrid this summer, spend around three years at the club and then return to the Premier League to break Alan Shearer’s record.
However, I think the most likely scenario is that the striker will end up staying at Spurs and reassess the situation next summer when he is a free agent.
