Amidst reports suggesting that Real Madrid are making advancements to sign Harry Kane, The Athletic have revealed that Bayern Munich have not yet given up their pursuit of the Tottenham man.
While we have heard nothing from Kane’s camp at present regarding his future, reports from Spain over the last few days have suggested that Real Madrid are now the front-runners to sign the striker.
Outlets such as Marca and Sport reported earlier this week that the England captain is keen to make the switch to the Spanish capital while Daniel Levy is open to selling Spurs’ talisman to a club outside the Premier League.
Bayern Munich still have Harry Kane hopes
If The Athletic’s latest update is to be believed, Madrid are not the only foreign club still vying for Kane’s signature, with Bayern still said to be very much in the race.
The outlet states that signing a reliable goalscorer is Thomas Tuchel’s top priority ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Bavarians giants are said to be ‘hopeful’ that Kane can be persuaded to make the switch to the Allianz Arena, while Eintracht Frankfurt’s Randal Kolo Muani and Juventus’ Dusan Vlahovic are the other two options on their wishlist.
Spurs Web Opinion
The one thing I am convinced about is that Kane is not heading to Manchester United or Bayern Munich this summer.
I expect the 29-year-old to either move to Madrid or to see out the final year of his contract at Tottenham before reassessing his future next summer, it seems likely that Daniel Levy will be much more persuaded to cash in on Kane if a sizeable offer comes in from abroad rather than improving a Premier League rival.
