Real Madrid defender Nacho Fernandez has urged Los Blancos to snap up Harry Kane this summer, insisting that the Tottenham man would fit in ‘perfectly’ at the club.
Multiple Spanish outlets over the past couple of weeks have talked up the chances of Kane moving to Real Madrid this summer, with the striker said to be keen on a switch to the Spanish capital (Marca).
The same reports also suggested that Daniel Levy would be open to selling the 29-year-old to a club outside the Premier League.
However, other outlets have contradicted this information, with GiveMeSport suggesting last week that the Spurs chairman is expected to tell the La Liga giants that Tottenham’s talisman is not for sale this summer.
Meanwhile, Relevo reported a few days ago that Madrid president Florentino Perez is having doubts about spending big on Kane this summer as he does not want to make a move that would jeopardise his chances of signing Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain.
Nacho thinks Kane would be perfect for Real Madrid
When asked about whether Real should make a move for Kane, Nacho has now told El Chiringuito (as relayed by Marca): “Harry Kane would fit in perfectly this summer and Mbappe would come the next.”
Spurs Web Opinion
I do expect Real to test Tottenham’s resolve with an offer for Kane over the coming weeks.
However, the feeling I get is that Levy will turn down the bid and that he will risk letting the striker run into the final year of his deal in the hope that Postecoglou can win him over and convince him to sign a new deal.
