Tottenham Hotspur have no current intention to bring Gareth Bale back to the club for a third spell, according to The Telegraph.
The 32-year-old is available as a free agent after his contract at Real Madrid came to an end, bringing down the curtain on a nine-year tenure at the Santiago Bernabeu where he won five Champions League titles.
Heading into Wales’ World Cup play-off against Ukraine, there was speculation that he could decide to hang up his boots if his country failed to qualify for the tournament for the first time since 1958 (ESPN).
Bale played a key role in helping Wales secure their place in Qatar, when his cross deflected off the head of Andriy Yarmolenko to score the only goal of the game.
The Cardiff-born product returned to north London on a season-long loan deal during the 2020/21 campaign and enjoyed a strong end to the campaign, having failed to hold down a regular place in the side while Jose Mourinho was in charge.
Bale is now seeking a new club to keep him match-fit at least until the start of the World Cup in November with it said that he is not among the targets of Fabio Paratici and Antonio Conte.
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is not expected to go over the heads of the pair, with the 60-year-old having been the driving force behind the previous loan deal rather than Jose Mourinho (The Athletic).

Bale still has a lot to offer a prospective club at 32, however, he would face plenty of competition at Tottenham among the likes of Harry Kane, Heung-min Son, Dejan Kulusevki, Lucas Moura and even new signing Ivan Perisic who can operate in a number of positions on the left.
A move to the likes of Cardiff City or another Premier League club would be in his best interests.
