Mauricio Pochettino sat in front of the press following Tottenham’s 0-0 draw against Crystal Palace on Saturday and insisted that he was not happy with the performance.
You aren’t the only one, Mauricio. It was a lacklustre display from a Tottenham side at home who on paper, and if have the burning desire to challenge for a top four spot must be beating the likes of Crystal Palace.
The team lacked width, craft and guile in one of the most boring displays for many a year. After so much hype following the recent win against Everton, it again seems that Pochettino does not know his best eleven, or how to get the best out of those on the park.
Pochettino told the press: “Crystal Palace made a good job, they played in their way very well, they play very deep and after that on the counter-attack and I think that it was difficult for us to create many chances.”
“Our performance wasn’t good and we need to accept it, we need to improve and realise this afternoon wasn’t a good game. At the end I think the point is fair for both teams.”
