Hugo Lloris – He was not involved in the game for long spells but he kept his team in the game with a world-class save against Murray. He could have done nothing to stop both Palace goals.
Kyle Walker – The right-back was woeful tonight and he might have put his place in jeopardy as Yedlin looks a promising player. He got away with a handball shout and was at fault for Puncheon’s goal.
Danny Rose – Even though he came out on top against Puncheon, he was caught out of position at times. He always looked to go forward and support the attack; he showed real energy and pace.
Federico Fazio – He was terrible on the ball and looked nervy at the back. He was putting in some decent performances of late but did not have a good outing tonight.
Jan Vertonghen – He was the better of the centre-back pairing and he was really good in every area of the game. He defended really well and showed real composure.
Benjamin Stambouli – He started shaky but grew into the game. He had some decent tackles and showed some craft on the ball. He was really unlucky to give away a penalty and replaced by Soldado soon after.
Christian Eriksen – He had on the rare terrible outings of this season. He dropped too deep as he couldn’t find the holes in the midfield he craves for and left Kane isolated.
Moussa Dembele – He picked up where he left off as he did not do anything direct but kept the ball well. He controlled the midfield with his strength and composure.
Andros Townsend – The English winger was so terrible today, he made Spurs fans pray for Lamela. He was incredibly wasteful and showed nothing to note. He made Kelly’s job so easy and rightly replaced after the Palace goal.
Nacer Chadli – Even though he did not play like he did against Chelsea, he still showed quite a bit of desire to create something for his team. However, that’s the best it got for the Belgian as he couldn’t find the moment of magic.
Harry Kane – There’s no stopping this man right now. He scores from anywhere, to anyone and in anyway. If his teammates showed anything close to his energy level, Tottenham would have easily come away with 3 points.
Subs
Etienne Capoue – He came on for Townsend and did not show any energy or creativity that Spurs lacked. He had a decent long range effort saved by Speroni close to the end.
Roberto Soldado – He came on for Stambouli to score a winner but he never received the ball in the right areas and couldn’t find the space behind the Palace defence.
