Alasdair Gold has revealed in his latest column for Football.London that Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze is on Tottenham’s radar.
Eze has developed impressively since swapping Queens Park Rangers for Palace back in 2020 even though the youngster’s upwards trajectory was interrupted by a few injuries during the 2021-22 season.
The versatile attacking midfielder was one of the Eagles’ standout performers last campaign, registering 14 goal contributions (10 goals and four assists) in the Premier League (Transfermarkt).
The 25-year-old was rewarded with an England call-up this summer and won his first cap for the Three Lions in the 4-0 win UEFA Euro 2024 qualifying win against Malta back in June after replacing James Maddison in the 70th minute.
Spurs are keeping an eye on Eberechi Eze
Eze has just two years left on his contract at Selhurst Park, and Gold has now revealed that Tottenham are monitoring the player’s situation.
The journalist added Bryan Gil being sidelined after his groin surgery is one of the reasons why the Palace star is being eyed by the North London club.
Spurs Web Opinion
Eze is an outstanding talent and would be able to operate in a number of positions in Postecoglou’s system. The fact that he has just two years left on his contract also means that Palace might not demand an astronomically high fee for the 25-year-old.
