Fabrizio Romano has revealed on AMP that Tottenham ‘really appreciate’ Eberechi Eze but the North London club are yet to make a concrete move for the Crystal Palace star so far.
Eze has come on leaps and bounds since swapping Queens Park Rangers for Palace back in 2020, and the 25-year-old even won his first cap for England recently on the back of an impressive 2022-23 season at Selhurst Park.
Eze has just two years left on his contract with the Eagles and Alasdair Gold revealed in his column on Football.London last week Tottenham are monitoring the player’s situation.
The journalist explained that Ange Postecoglou wants more attacking reinforcements, particularly given that Bryan Gil has been sidelined with groin surgery, with the Palace star said to be one of the players on the club’s radar.
Eberechi Eze is appreciated by Tottenham
Romano has now backed up Spurs’ interest in Eze, insisting that the Lilywhites ‘really like’ the former QPR man.
However, he explains that as things stand Tottenham have not started negotiations with Palace over the player. Romano also adds that the Eagles are keen to hold on to the midfielder.

The fact that Eze only has two years left on his contract means that Palace would be tempted to sell the player if they receive a sizable offer this summer.
However, it appears as if the 25-year-old is not Tottenham’s top priority, with Nottingham Forest’s Brennan Jonhson seemingly the player that Postescoglou is particularly keen on.
