Football.London’s Alasdair Gold has revealed that Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi and Torino’s Gleison Bremer are also both on Tottenham’s radar this summer.
The journalist explained that Antonio Conte wants to sign two centre-backs this summer, particularly if one of Japhet Tanganga or Joe Rodon leave in search of regular game time.
While Inter’s Alessandro Bastoni, RB Leipzig’s Josko Gvardiol, Villarreal’s Pau Torres and Barcelona’s Clement Lenglet are said to be options for the left centre-back role, he revealed that Guehi and Bremer are also on the club’s wishlist.
Gold explained that Guehi would be an attractive option for the Lilywhites since he will help bolster their homegrown numbers but adds that the Palace star will not come cheap, given that he is contracted at Selhurst Park until 2026.
However, the journalist asserted that Torino would be willing to sell Bremer for a cut-price fee of just £21m this summer.
Gold added that while Tottenham have had their eye on Fenerbahce’s Kim Min-jae previously, the South Korean is not high up the club’s list of potential centre-back signings this summer.
Spurs Web Opinion
We certainly need another centre-back apart from a left-sided one, with Sanchez and Rodon likely to be on their way out of the club this summer. Bremer would be an ideal option as he is quite versatile and would be able to play across the back three if required.
