The Tottenham Hotspur squad for tonight’s FA Cup clash against Sheffield United was announced within the last hour and some eyebrows were raised when there was one notable omission from the travelling party.
Emerson Royal, who has been in remarkable form for the north Londoners during their recent outings against West Ham United and Chelsea was omitted from the squad with Pedro Porro taking his place in the starting eleven.
Football.London have revealed that the Brazilian has sustained a knock to his knee which has ruled him out of contention to face the Championship outfit.
Porro had an eyeopening debut for Tottenham during the 4-1 defeat at Leicester City earlier this month and has had to be patient recently with Royal impressing upon his return to the side.

It has been a remarkable turnaround from the former Barcelona player who has really struggled at times since his move to the Premier League, especially in attacking areas, however, he is finally showing the form which could see Porro have a real battle on his hands for the starting place on the right-hand side of Antonio Conte’s defence.
