Former Manchester United midfielder Roy Keane believes that the club should be looking to sign Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur.
The 26-year-old has an impressive track record having scored 130 Premier League goals in 190 appearances for the North London side.
Manchester United have been left without an out-and-out striker since the depature of Romelu Lukaku to Inter Milan during the summer transfer window.
The Old Trafford outfit have struggled in front of goal this season and despite drawing 1-1 with league leaders Liverpool, Keane has singled out the Spurs marksman to solve their striking crisis.
Tottenham have also been out of form in the final third of the pitch with a lack of creavitity and width proving difficult for Kane to find the space he needs, yet has still managed to score five goals in nine top flight appearances this season.
In years gone by, Spurs have acted as somewhat of a feeder club to United with the likes of Michael Carrick and Dimitar Berbatov heading north, however, times have changed and United are no longer the force they once were.
Despite their recent struggles by their own standards, United are still able to offer player wages well in excess of what Daniel Levy is prepared to pay.
When appearing as a pundit on Sky Sports (20/10/2019 at 19:15 pm), Keane said:”Just go and get Kane from Spurs.”
“You’ll be popular with Spurs fans,” ary Neville responded.
Keane added: “Just go get him. What are you all staring at? United are in disarray, go get him.”
