Former Manchester United midfielder Roy Keane was critical of Harry Kane’s performance during the 3-0 defeat to Chelsea at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this evening.
Nuno Espirito Santo named an attacking line-up with Heung-min Son, Tanguy Ndombele and Giovani Lo Celso coming back into the starting eleven, but were unable to find the back of the net.
Keane questioned that the body language of the England captain and admitted that he was left angry at the lack of desire shown by the Tottenham players.
Spurs went into the half time break level at 0-0, having had chances to score during the first half, but found themselves on the ropes in the second period with Chelsea dominating the play and looking threatening every time they went into the Tottenham half.
The former midfielder was not impressed with Spurs’ failure to look to press their opponents and put their bodies on the line to try to win the ball.
