Roy Keane has insisted Manchester United do not have much to worry about given that Tottenham Hotspur are their next opponents on Saturday.
Despite struggling for consistency over the last couple of months, Tottenham still find themselves in with a chance of qualifying for the Champions League this season.
That is partly thanks to the poor form of some of their rivals, including Manchester United, who have failed to take advantage of Spurs’ slip-ups.
United crumbled to a 4-1 defeat in the Manchester derby on Sunday in what came as a big blow to the Red Devils’ hopes of finishing fourth.
The clash at Old Trafford on Saturday could thus be season-defining for both clubs, with neither Antonio Conte’s men nor Ralf Rangnick being able to afford another defeat.
However, Keane seemed to suggest he is not at all worried about Man United’s next task, hinting that his former club would not have much trouble against the Lilywhites.
When asked about the upcoming clash against Tottenham, he told Sky Sports Premier League (7:42 pm, March 6, 2022): “It’s only Spurs next week. It’s only Spurs.”

Even the most hardened Spurs fan would likely realise that there is a kernel of truth to Keane’s assertion. It is quite possible that Spurs will go to Old Trafford and crumble under pressure, particularly if the home side score the first goal.
