THEspursweb recently caught up with Zuco, a Manchester United fan and staff member at www.manutdtalk.com to ask him all about Tottenham’s upcoming Premier League clash against the Premier League champions.

Have you been surprised by Tottenham’s start to the season?

To be honest I always thought you’d do well. I wouldn’t have predicted you’d be top of the league after 4 games, but you do have a very good squad and should be challenging for a Champions League place. Beating Liverpool was a pleasant surprise though. Let’s hope you can do the same at Anfield.

What do you make of United’s start to the new campaign?

Despite the shock of losing to Burnley, this is actually one of our better starts to a league campaign. At this stage last season we had 4 points from 4 games, the season before that we had 5 points from 4 games, so to be on 9 points after 4 games this season is quite a good position to be in. We usually start the campaign quite slowly but finish the season off very well.

Which Spurs player do you fear most and why?

Usually I would say Modric, but as he’s injured I’ll go with Jermain Defoe. He’s on fire this season and is sitting on the top of the goalscoring charts with Rooney. Nemanja Vidic has shown on a few occasions that he has difficulty dealing with pacy strikers, so if Defoe gets the chance to run at him he could cause us a few problems.

Which United player should Spurs most worry about?

Look no further than Wayne Rooney. He’s found his form for club and country and is finally stepping out of Ronaldo’s shadow. He’s the heartbeat of our team and when he plays well we usually win.

Dimitar Berbatov – what is your opinion of him?

I’m a big fan of Berbatov. His debut season with us wasn’t as impressive as I’d hoped for, but the team was built to cater to Ronaldo’s strengths and Berbatov was played out of position for much of the season. He’s a fantastic player than can produce something out of nothing and he’s a joy to watch. He’s not as prolific as some of the top strikers in Europe but he makes up for that with the number of goals he creates for others.

Where do you think both teams will finish in the Premier League this season?

If you can keep your key players fit there’s no reason you can’t finish in the top 4. Your next two games against United and Chelsea will be a good indicator of whether you can cut it against the big boys. I’ll stay optimistic and say you’ll finish 4th, pushing Liverpool into 5th.

As for our chances, we’ve got a couple of new boys to bed in and we’ve lost Ronaldo. We’ll still challenge for the title but I think Chelsea will win it this year, with us in 2nd  place.

Your score prediction?

You’ve lost a major creative influence in Modric, and Kranjcar may need time to settle into the team. I’m going for a 2-1 United win.
