AS have claimed that those at Manchester United have not only been impressed with Sergio Reguilon’s performances but also his character.
Reguilon completed a loan switch to Man Utd just a couple of days before the summer transfer deadline, with the deal reportedly having a break clause in January (The Athletic).
The injuries to both Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia have meant that Erik Ten Hag has had to start the Tottenham man in the last three matches across all competitions, and the Spaniard has delivered some promising displays.
Sergio Reguilon is proving to be a hit at Man United
AS say that Reguilon has ‘responded creditably’ to what the Dutch coach has asked of him and states that the left-back is one of the ‘few positives’ for the Red Devils over recent weeks.
The report adds that apart from the ‘good level’ that the 26-year-old has shown on the pitch, he has also proven his ‘character’ to the coaches at the Manchester club.
The outlet claims that Reguilon has ‘quickly gained weight’ at Old Trafford and that it ‘shows’ that he has been at big clubs.
Spurs Web Opinion
While Reguilon is a limited footballer, he can be effective in the right system and it is visible that he is now playing for his career. Tottenham would likely be happy to sell him to Man Utd permanently in January if the Red Devils do show interest.
