Southampton boss Mauricio Pochettino has again refused to talk about his future, insisting talks will take place over the summer.
The Argentine has just twelve months to run on his existing deal at St Mary’s and has been one of the frontrunners to replace Tim Sherwood along with Ajax boss Frank de Boer. Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is said to admire Pochettino and is comfortable with the level of English he uses to communicate with his players.
“I am not really one to talk about my personal situation. I don’t really like to talk about my own contractual situation,” Pochettino told the media.
“I am just focused on being manager of this team and doing what is best for this team.
“I understand all the rumours surrounding me and the future of the players but these things will be spoken about at the end of the season.
“It is only normal that these things will come up.
