The Independent have revealed Mauricio Pochettino has discussed a potential summer move for Harry Kane with the Chelsea hierarchy.
Kane’s future seems like it could dominate the headlines for much of the summer just as it did two years ago.
The striker will enter the final year of his contract this June and reports indicate that he will not hold talks with Spurs regarding a new deal until a head coach is in place (Football Insider).
Multiple outlets over the last few months have suggested that Old Trafford is Kane’s most likely destination in the summer.
However, The Telegraph claimed recently that while the Tottenham man remains Man Utd’s number one target, the Red Devils do not want to get involved in ‘protracted’ negotiations with Daniel Levy.
The Independent have now claimed that the soon-to-be-confirmed Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino has discussed the possibility of reuniting with Kane with the Blues hierarchy.
The report adds that the former Spurs manager wants to sort out the issues up front and would also hold a discussion with Romelu Lukaku, who is currently on loan at Inter Milan.

The Kane to Chelsea rumours were always going to appear once Pochettino became Blues boss but there is simply no chance that the move would go through, in part because Levy would never allow it.
Manchester United remain Kane’s most likely destination this summer and if the striker decides against signing a new deal at Tottenham, the Lilywhites might have no choice but to sell him to the Red Devils.
