Le10Sport have revealed that Rennes are now considering making a move for Tanguy Ndombele, who is surplus to requirements at Tottenham.
It has been reported widely over the last week that Ange Posteoclgou has not been impressed with Ndombele’s attitude and his timekeeping, which is why the Frenchman has now been put on the shop window by Spurs (Sun).
Le10Sport have now revealed that Rennes have now emerged as contenders for the 26-year-old’s signature, with the club’s head coach Bruno Genesio knowing the player well from their time together at Lyon.
The French club are said to be ‘studying’ the option of Ndomeble as well as Tiemoue Bakayoko, who is now a free agent after being released by Chelsea earlier this summer.
Tottenham want to sell Tanguy Ndombele
The outlet adds that Rennes might look to sign the Tottenham man on a loan deal, although the North London club aspire to sell the player permanently and offset some of their losses.
The report adds that although Ndombele is attracting interest from Turkey and Saudi Arabia, he could be ‘seduced’ to return to his homeland this summer.
Spurs Web Opinion
Ndombele has just two years left on his contract. So, there is simply no reason for Tottenham to consider loaning the midfielder out again. However, the player himself might prefer a return to Ligue 1 over a move to Turkey or Saudi Arabia, which might complicate matters for Spurs.
