A number of clubs, including Nottingham Forest, are now considering a move for Tanguy Ndombele, and Tottenham Hotspur will sell the player for between €15-€20m (£12.9-£17m).
Despite being given yet another opportunity to salvage his career at Tottenham, it appears Tanguy Ndombele has finally reached the end of his time in North London.
It was thought that Ndombele would be given a chance under new manager Ange Postecoglou this summer. It was even suggested that there had been positive signs regarding Ndombele’s attitude in training during the early stages of pre-season (Gold and Guest Talk Tottenham podcast).
However, Postecoglou was reportedly not happy with Ndombele’s attitude and the Frenchman was subsequently made available for transfer (The Sun).
Until recently, Galatasaray were believed to be leading the race to sign Ndombele, but were only willing to offer just under £7m for the player (Dogru Haber).
In the last week, French side Rennes have also emerged as a potential suitor for the playmaker (Le10Sport).
Tottenham set Tanguy Ndombele asking price
Now, the latest from RMC on the matter reveals a whole host of clubs are still tracking Ndombele this summer, and we may now know the price tag Tottenham have put on the player.
Apparently, clubs such as Galatasaray, Fenerbahce, Rennes and even Premier League big-spenders Nottingham Forest are all keen on Ndombele. To secure his services it is expected to cost between €15-20m (£12.9-17m).
The problem is, Ndombele’s pathway out of London appears to be “blocked,” with Spurs hoping to sell him outright, while other clubs attempt loan moves.
Forest, for example, are thought to be interested in a loan deal with a purchase obligation. Tottenham have already rejected a similar deal from Fenerbahce and are set to “do the same” with the offer from the Premier League outfit.
The report does claim that Galatasaray are “set to welcome” Ndombele to the club, but there is no word on any details of a possible agreement between Spurs and the Turkish side.
Spurs Web Opinion
We have to sell Ndombele this summer, and have to be prepared to take a huge hit on him. Honestly, at this stage, I think we should just ask for £10m and have done with it. No loan deals, no messing around, just clear him out and move on.
