Fotomac have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur hold an interest in Galatasaray star Kerem Akturkoglu ahead of the January transfer window.
Akturkoglu caught the eye with his impressive displays last season and he has started the new campaign from where he left off, having scored five goals and provided seven assists in 16 matches across all competitions so far (Transfermarkt).
Fotomac state that the 24-year-old’s displays have brought him to the attention of several Premier League sides, including Spurs and Arsenal.
Tottenham could go shopping at Galatasaray
It is alleged that Postecoglou is a fan of the versatile attacker while the Gunners’ scouts watched him during Galatasaray’s 3-2 win over Manchester United at Old Trafford recently.
Apart from the two North London clubs, the report explains West Ham United have also identified Akturkoglu as a transfer target, with the report adding that the Turkey international is valued at €17m (£14.6m).
Finally, Fotomac state that officials from several clubs, including Spurs, are expected to be at RAMS Park to watch the winger in action during Galatasaray’s clash against Bayern Munich on October 24.
Spurs Web Opinion
Tottenham evidently have a good relationship with Galatasaray after successfully negotiating deals for Ndombele and Sanchez in the summer. The Lilywhites may perhaps look to use that relationship to their advantage if their interest in Akturkoglu is indeed genuine.
