Aksam claim that Tottenham Hotspur have now stepped up their efforts to sign Galatasaray star Kerem Akturkoglu ahead of the January window.
On the back of an impressive 2022-23 season, Akturkoglu has started the new campaign in exceptional form, having scored five goals and provided seven assists in 16 matches across all competitions so far (Transfermarkt).
Tottenham’s interest in the 24-year-old first came to light last week when Fotomac revealed that the Lilywhites were keeping tabs on the player.
Spurs have initiated contact with Galatasaray star
Aksam have now claimed that Tottenham have ‘stepped in’ and begun exploring a deal for Akturkoglu.
The outlet states that Spurs have made contact with Galatasaray to ask for information about the winger and have also requested a meeting with the player.
The report adds that the Tukey international is also on the radar of Tottenham’s fierce rivals Arsenal.
However, it is explained that Galatasaray hope to tie down Akturkoglu to a new contract in order to fend off interest from Premier League clubs.
