A report in Fotospor have revealed that while Galatasaray have offered Kerem Akturkoglu a new contract, the likes of Tottenham would be ready to double the salary offered by the Turkish club.
Tottenham’s interest in Akturkoglu came to light earlier this month when Fotomac revealed that the Lilywhites were keeping tabs on the winger, who has scored five goals and provided seven assists in 16 matches across all competitions so far (Transfermarkt).
A few days ago, Aksam asserted that Spurs have already started working on a deal for the 24-year-old, having reached out to Galatasaray as well as the player’s entourage over a January transfer.

Fight for Akturkoglu between Spurs and Galatasaray
According to Fotospor’s latest update, Galatasaray are keen to ward off interest from the Premier League and are thus willing to increase Akturkoglu’s salary from €300k (£261k) per year to €1m (£870k) per year.
However, the report explains that the proposed salary increase does not please the Turkey international, who has not shown an inclination to renew his deal.
The outlet names Spurs and West Ham as the two clubs interested in Akturkoglu’s signature and suggests that the London duo would be willing to offer a salary of at least €2m-€2.2m per year (£1.7m-£1.9m), which is double of what the Istanbul club are willing to.

Akturkoglu has two and a half years left on his contract at RAMS Park, which means that Galatasaray are not necessarily under pressure to sell the winger in January even if he is unwilling to sign a new contract for the time being. They could potentially reassess the situation next summer.
