Wertinger Zeitung have claimed that Augsburg will be patient with Japhet Tanganga, given that the defender has not played much competitive football over the last few years.
On transfer deadline day, Tanganga completed a season-long loan move to Augsburg, with Spurs confirming that a conditional obligation to buy was attached to the deal.
According to Calciomercato.it, the German side will pay an initial loan fee of €1m (£860k) to Tottenham while BBC Sport have revealed that their €6m (£5.1m) obligation to buy the defender will be activated if the 24-year-old plays a certain number of matches and the club preserve their Bundesliga status.

Wertinger Zeitung have now claimed that the Bavarian club’s sporting director Marinko Jurendic has called for a ‘little patience’ regarding Tanganga.
Given that he has only made 50 appearances since breaking into the Spurs first team more than three years ago, it is alleged that he is seen as a player who needs a bedding-in period rather than someone who can make an instant impact at the club.
Meanwhile, Augsburger Allgemeine claim that Tanganga is currently struggling with a knee injury and is not expected to start training with the squad until next week.

If there is one thing that will prevent Augsburg’s option to buy Tanganga from being activated, it is the defender’s fitness issues.
The Spurs academy graduate has struggled to stay away from injuries over the last few years, which is why it remains to be seen if he will be fit enough to make the requisite number of appearances this season.
