London World journalist Rahman Osman has revealed that Tottenham Hotspur face competition from AC Milan and Torino for Rosario Central striker Alejo Veliz.
Since TyC Sports reporter Cesar Luiz Melo first broke the news regarding Tottenham’s interest in Veliz on Wednesday, plenty of outlets have talked up the chances of Spurs winning the race for the Argentine sensation.
Fabrizio Romano subsequently revealed that the 19-year-old had agreed personal terms with the Premier League side ahead of a potential move to N17.
Meanwhile, Relevo journalist Matteo Moretto even asserted that the negotiations are at an advanced stage and that they could be concluded in a matter of hours.
Not yet a done deal for Alejo Veliz to Tottenham
However, Osman has now taken to social media to reveal that Tottenham have not yet won the race for Veliz, but he did state that the Lilywhites are at the front of the queue for the teenager’s signature, ahead of both AC Milan and Torino.
Osman added that Spurs are willing to loan him back to Rosario until January, with the Argentine club alleged to want £12m for the player.
Spurs Web Opinion
Tottenham should not have any problems outbidding both the Serie A sides for Veliz. As long as the 19-year-old wants to make a move to N17, one would expect the North London side to wrap up the deal sooner rather than later.
