Alfredo Pedulla has revealed that Tottenham Hotspur are one of the clubs that hold an interest in Genoa left-back Andrea Cambiaso.
It was reported last week that Antonio Conte has not been convinced by Sergio Reguilon and wants to upgrade at left wing-back in the summer (Football Insider).
The Spurs boss is said to have given the green light for the club to cash in on the Spaniard and reinvest the fee into new signings.
According to Pedulla’s latest update, Cambiaso is one of the options on Tottenham’s radar.
The 22-year-old has impressed since his move to Genoa last summer, and the fact he is two-footed has meant Alexander Blessin has been able to use him at both right-back and left-back.
Pedulla claims the Italy under-21 international is attracting ‘strong interest’ from Inter Milan while Juventus and Napoli are also tracking his situation.
Despite the interest from Spurs, it is explained that a move to another Serie A club remains the ‘most concrete’ option for Cambiaso this summer.
Spurs Web Opinion
If Conte and Paratici are planning on refreshing their wing-back options this summer by moving on the likes of Doherty, Emerson and Reguilon, Cambiaso could be a decent addition to the Spurs squad. While the 22-year-old might not have the required quality to play every game, Conte might view him as a decent squad option, given his versatility.
