Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Genoa have reached an agreement with Tottenham Hotspur to sign Tanguy Ndombele on loan.
Ndombele is one of several first-team players expected to leave Spurs before Friday evening’s transfer deadline, with reports over the last few weeks indicating that Ange Postecoglou has been unimpressed with the Frenchman’s attitude (The Sun).
The 26-year-old is yet to feature in the matchday squad for Tottenham this season and several sources have indicated recently the North London club are looking to sell him permanently rather than loan him out (RMC Sport).
Genoa agree deal with Tottenham for Ndombele
However, if Romano’s latest update is to be believed, Ndombele, who spent last season on loan at Napoli, is about to head to Serie A again on a temporary deal.
The journalist claims that Genoa have reached a full agreement with Spurs and are now working on convincing the player to move to the Luigi Ferraris Stadium.
Romano adds that Tottenham want to find a new club for Ndombele before Friday evening’s deadline but the decision ultimately lies in the former Lyon star’s hands.

It would be a shame if it is another loan deal without an obligation to buy as Spurs would have been keen to cut their losses on the France international and get him off their wage bill.
However, the player would have to accept a significant salary reduction to seal a permanent move away from the Premier League side.
