Tuttosport have revealed that Tottenham are not expected to stand in Ivan Perisic’s way if the player asks to return to Inter Milan this summer.
Although Perisic has posted some excellent numbers this season (his assist against Bournemouth was his 11th of the campaign), some of his performances have not been quite up to scratch, particularly defensively.
Since Antonio Conte’s departure from Spurs, multiple Italian outlets have suggested that a return to Inter could be on the cards for the Croat (Inter Live).
TuttoSport have now become the latest publication to make that claim, stating that the experienced wing-back ‘wants to come back’ to the San Siro at the end of the season.
However, it is explained that Perisic would have to ‘make a sacrifice’ in order to return to Inter as the Serie A club could not be able to match his current €6m (£5.3m) per year salary.
The report adds that it is ‘difficult to think’ that Tottenham would block the move since the 34-year-old has just over 12 months left to run on his contract.

None of the managers who have been linked with the Spurs job (Nagelsmann, Enrique, Pochettino, Kompany, Slot) play with a back three, which means that Perisic is unlikely to find a place in their set-up. So, it looks like the Croat would probably depart at the end of the season.
