Out of all his new teammates, Brennan Johnson has revealed he is most excited to play alongside Heung-min Son, James Maddison, and Yves Bissouma.

Tottenham made Brennan Johnson their latest signing on transfer deadline day. The 22-year-old arrived in North London after a £47.5m switch was agreed with Nottingham Forest (Sky Sports).

Despite losing Harry Kane last month, Spurs have not suffered at all so far. An unbeaten start to the Premier League campaign has left Tottenham in second place heading into the international break.

Johnson will have to wait a while to get his first piece of action for Spurs. The winger is now with his Wales teammates for the double-header against South Korea and Latvia.

Which Spurs teammate is Johnson excited about?

While Johnson will likely be playing against Heung-min Son on Saturday, the Welshman has admitted he can’t wait to play alongside his new captain.

In an interview with SPURSPLAY, Johnson was pressed on which players he is excited to team up with. Naturally, he praised the whole squad, but did pick out three individuals.

He said: “Oh that’s a tough question. To be honest, watching the games, there’s so many players that I’m looking forward to playing with. Obviously, all the attacking players, just the whole team to be honest. I can’t wait to get going.

“I think James Maddison, watching him play, the balls he’s been putting in. Yves Bissouma, obviously Son as well. Just all of them to be honest. I’m loving it.”

Spurs Web Opinion

Just from watching the first four games this season, the prospect of playing alongside James Maddison and Yves Bissouma has to be appealing to almost any player in the world.

And then Sonny, despite his troubles last season, is obviously world-class and someone any young player would aspire to emulate.
