Multiple sources, including Fabrizio Romano and David Ornstein, are now reporting that a deal to bring Micky van De Ven to Tottenham is on the cusp of going through.
There has been plenty of speculation over the last month linking Van de Ven with a move to Tottenham and it now appears as if the move is finally materialising.
Ornstein has now reported in The Athletic that the Dutchman is set to become Spurs’ sixth signing of the summer following the arrivals of James Maddison, Guglielmo Vicario and Manor Solomon, as well as the permanent deals for Dejan Kulusevski and Pedro Porro.
The journalist added that Tottenham are now ‘on the verge’ of selling an agreement worth €50m (£43m) including add-ons for the Netherlands Under-21 international.
Micky Van de Ven is closer to Spurs move than ever
Ornstein stated that once the final details are complete, Van de Ven will travel to Hotspur Way to complete his medical and sign a long-term contract.
Meanwhile, Romano has also taken to social media to state that a deal to take the centre-back to Spurs is now ‘almost there’.

Spurs Web Opinion
Now that the Van de Ven deal is all but wrapped up, the next 24 hours will be quite telling in terms of Tottenham’s plans for the centre-back role.
If Spurs continue negotiations with Bayer Leverkusen over Edmond Taposba, that would be incontrovertible evidence that the club want to sign both players.
