Antonio Conte and his coaching staff want Pape Matar Sarr to bulk up in order to cope with the physical demands of the Premier League, Football.London have revealed.
Spurs signed Sarr from Metz last summer for £14.5m (Daily Mail) and then loaned the midfielder back to the Ligue 1 club.
Although it proved to be a disappointing campaign for Metz, ultimately ending in relegation from the top flight, the 19-year-old got plenty of minutes under his belt and showcased his versatility by operating in a variety of midfield roles.
Sarr is expected to report to training at Hotspur Way this summer, 12 months on from signing for the North London club.
Football.London have revealed that Spurs are yet to make a decision on whether to keep the teenager at the club next season or to send him out on loan again.
The report claims that Conte will take a close look at the Senegal international this summer before making a decision on his future.
It is asserted that the Italian Conte’s fitness staff will help begin the process of bulking up Sarr during pre-season.

Given that Sarr is only 19 years of age, and has only had a season and a half of regular first-team football under his belt, it is likely that Tottenham will loan him out next season so that he can continue getting regular game time.
Even if he were to impress in pre-season, it is unlikely that he is going to get too many minutes at Spurs, with Skipp, Hojbjerg, Bentancur (and possibly a new signing) all ahead of the teenager in the pecking order.
