The Evening Standard have revealed that Antonio Conte is set to decide whether to keep Pape Matar Sarr in the Tottenham first team or to loan the midfielder out this summer.
Sarr reported to training at Hotspur Way for the first time on Monday since completing his move to the club 12 months ago before being loaned back out to Metz.
The teenager showcased his versatility for the Ligue 1 side during the 2021/22 campaign, operating in a variety of midfield roles but his efforts were not enough to save the club from relegation.
The Evening Standard have now explained that after watching Sarr in training during pre-season, Conte will decide whether to loan the 19-year-old to an English club or to keep him at Spurs.
The report reveals that while the Tottenham head coach is prepared to be ruthless in leaving players out of the pre-season trip to South Korea, the Senegal international is expected to make the trip.

Sarr is not going to get game time if he stays at the club but Conte might feel that training with the first-team squad would help his development. If the Tottenham boss decides to loan the youngster out, he will likely have to join a Championship club to get guaranteed game time.
