According to Football.London, Tottenham Hotspur are attempting to organise a Summer friendly at Wembley Stadium against Italian giants Juventus.
In a bid to acclimatise to Wembley Stadium before the opening of the 2017-18 season, Tottenham will not only look to complete training sessions at the national stadium this Summer, but also host a friendly match.
According to Italian daily newspaper La Stampa, Champions League runners-up Juventus will provide Spurs’ opposition, in what will be a huge test before the opening curtain to the Premier League.
The article reveals that the date in which the friendly is likely to take place on is the 5th of August, the day before the Charity Shield contest between Arsenal and Chelsea, which is due to be hosted at the same Stadium.
Last season, Juventus played West Ham United in similar circumstances, winning 3-2 at the London Stadium on the 7th of August as the Hammers set out to find their feet in their new home.
