On the club’s official website, Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed a friendly fixture against Italian giants Juventus as the club’s final game of the pre-season.
Spurs will host the Old Lady at Wembley Stadium, where Tottenham will be playing all home games of the 2017/18 season, on Saturday the 5th of August.
The match will take place the very day before Arsenal are due to play Chelsea for the Community Shield at the same ground, in the traditional curtain raiser to the new Premier League season.
The game against the Champions League runners up will be Tottenham’s final test before the new season, which is due to take place after both clubs have participated in July’s International Champions Cup, where Spurs will face PSG, Roma and Manchester City.
Mauricio Pochettino said of the fixture announcement:
“This match will form an important part of our preparations, particularly with the Premier League season starting just a week later.”
“We met Juventus in Australia during pre-season last year and it was a highly competitive game, very useful for us, and we expect a similar game this year at Wembley.”
Ticket information can be found on Tottenham’s official club website, along with the full statement.
