Fabrizio Romano has revealed on his YouTube channel that Paris Saint-Germain could enter the race for rumoured Tottenham target Dusan Vlahovic.
We recently relayed Alasdair Gold’s report that Tottenham have compiled a list of potential replacements for Harry Kane in the event that Bayern Munich submit an offer that is too good to for the club turn down (Football.London).
If recent reports from Italy are to be believed, one of the names on the Lilywhites’ contingency list appears to be Vlahovic (CalcioMercato).
In fact, SportMediaset even claimed earlier this week that Spurs are one of the clubs who are at the front of the queue for the Serbian international and that the North Londoners are even prepared to pay €65m (£55.6m) to sign him in the event of Kane’s departure.
PSG also interested in Vlahovic
Romano has now said that Vlahovic is also of interest to PSG, who are reportedly on the lookout for a centre-forward, with the Juve star thought to be one of the names on the Parisians’ wishlist.
The journalist stated that while Chelsea also admire the 23-year-old, they have not reached out to the Old Lady to discuss a potential deal for the centre-forward.
Romano explains that Massimiliano Allegri’s men are open to selling Vlahovic but it would take an ‘important bid’ to bring the Italian giants to the negotiating table.
Spurs Web Opinion
Vlahovic is an excellent all-round centre-forward and I can see him thriving away from Juventus, just as the likes of Kulusevski and Bentancur have since leaving the Allianz Stadium.
However, I do wonder if Ange Postecoglou would prefer to sign a more mobile frontman who can press incessantly in the event that Kane departs. Richarlison, in many respects, seems like the ideal number nine for the Australian.
