Foot Mercato have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur would have to pay €70m (£59.8m) to snap up Dusan Vlahovic from Juventus.
Last week, we relayed a report from SportMediaset, which claimed that Tottenham were one of the clubs monitoring Vlahovic’s situation, with the North London club said to have identified the Serb as a potential replacement for Harry Kane if the England captain departs the club.
Now, Foot Mercato have gone a step further and asserted that the Lilywhites have settled on the Juve star as their number-one choice to replace Kane if the 29-year-old leaves.
Spurs are looking at Vlahovic as Kane replacement
The publication states that despite Fabio Paratici’s departure, Tottenham still maintain a very good relationship with the Old Lady, which could work in their favour in the event they pursue Vlahovic.
The report claims that the Juve need to raise funds to balance their books and the club’s hierarchy have decided that the 23-year-old centre-forward would be the right candidate to sell this summer.
Foot Mercato add that the Serie A giants have informed interested clubs that Vlahovic is valued at €70m (£59.8m), with Paris Saint-Germain also said to be keeping an eye on the striker’s situation.
Spurs Web Opinion
As things stand, Kane appears overwhelmingly likely to stay put at Tottenham as Bayern have not shown any inclination to offer close to £100m, which is a figure that might tempt Levy and Spurs.
However, should Bayern cough up such an amount, I would be completely in favour of a move for Vlahovic. Despite his struggles at Juve, the Serb undoubtedly has a very high ceiling and is capable of thriving under Postecoglou.
