Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have been reacting on social media with their thoughts on the first-half performance they have witnessed against Watford this afternoon with their side currently level at 0-0.
Harry Kane had the first chance of the game when his curling effort from the edge of the Hornets penalty area was saved by Daniel Bachmann.
The Watford keeper was called into action moments later when beat away Sergio Reguilon’s effort which looked destined to be heading into the top corner.
The best opportunity came on the half hour when terrific pressing from Oliver Skipp saw the midfielder steal the ball and play in Harry Kane, who saw his effort land the wrong side of the post.
Spurs’ wing-backs have both struggled with their crossing during the first half, despite Conte’s side having enjoyed the majority of possession each attack is seemingly coming to an end due to the final delivery from Reguilon and Emerson Royal.
Here is a selection of reaction from the North London faithful on what they have thought about the opening forty five minutes of the match.
There is no need for Hojbjerg to be on this pitch 2nd half. Keep Skipp on and bring on Ndombele/Gio

I never, EVER, thought I would say this, but… get Doherty on for this second period

Has Eriksen found a club yet?

All the ball and no penetration ffs. Watford just sitting back and we’re struggling to break em.
Emerson can’t cross his legs, Reggy crossing isn’t much better today, Son keeps tripping on the ball, Moura not involved in this. Reggy crossing isn’t much better today.

Games like this players have such simple roles, they’re asked to do very few things just over and over. This is largely how I view football anyway. The wing backs just have to provide width and cross, not much else. We need some quality though

Not been impressed by Ndombele at all this season, but if he isn’t coming on at half time he might as well be left out of the squad. #THFC

Watford have 6-7 players in their penalty area whenever a cross comes in. You could be Beckham and find it hard to reach a teammate when we only have 2-3 in there at best. We either need to move it faster, double up down the flanks or try shoot and hope for deflections. #thfc
