Ange Postecoglou has provided a team news update ahead of tomorrow’s match against Luton Town during this afternoon’s press conference at Hotspur Way.

Tottenham continued their unbeaten start to the Premier League campaign in dramatic fashion last weekend when they secured a 2-1 injury time victory against Liverpool in a fixture which has since been dominated by the VAR decision to rule out Luis Diaz’s goal for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

The result sees Tottenham head into the weekend one point behind league leaders and current champions Manchester City, while Premier League newcomers Luton recorded their first win since returning to the top flight at Everton on Saturday.

Spurs injury update vs Luton Town

Tottenham received a further injury blow this week after it was confirmed that summer signing Manor Solomon suffered a meniscus injury to his right knee in training and has since undergone surgery.

Such is the protocol, the media are informed of the availability of the Spurs squad ahead of the clash against Rob Edwards’ side with the South Korean having trained this week.

The big boost for Tottenham is the news that Heung-min is available for the match at Kenilworth Road, however, Brennan Johnson continues to be sidelined with the hamstring issue he suffered at Arsenal.

Postecoglou told the official Spurs site: “I guess the main one is Manor Solomon who picked up an injury during the week unfortunately and will put him out for a little while, which is disappointing for him, disappointing for us.

“He has already contributed significantly this year and was growing into the role we want him to play.

“Brennan [Johnson] will still be out for this weekend but hopefully he should be okay after the international break and then everyone else is okay.”

Ange also provided an update on Rodrigo Bentancur, Ryan Sessegnon, Bryan Gil and Giovani Lo Celso.

He added: “Ryan and Rodrigo are still well off (in terms of their respective returns to action),” he confirmed. “But Bryan and Gio have trained this week, which is good, so there’s a possibility they will be involved in the game.”
