TalkSPORT presenter, Andy Goldstein, has revealed that a source from Tottenham told him what a nice person James Maddison is behind the scenes.
Maddison arrived in North London this summer for a fee of just £40m (SkySports), which some Premier League rivals must be looking back on enviously.
Since then, the England midfielder has played eight Premier League games for Spurs, scoring twice and assisting another five while also picking up a Player of the Month award (TransferMarkt).
There hasn’t just been a transformation on the pitch in North London this season though, as the entire atmosphere around the club has changed for the better.
James Maddison is a lovely guy behind the scenes
It feels as though Tottenham are aligned from Daniel Levy at the top to the players and staff at the bottom for the first time since the peak Mauricio Pochettino years.
The Lilywhites are currently top of the Premier League table in mid-October and the spirits will be high around Hotspur Way, but it appears that James Maddison is someone who always leaves a good impression.
Goldstein said: “I know someone at Spurs, who’s there day to day, says he’s the nicest fella you’ll meet.”
Spurs Web Opinion:
Tottenham are filling the dressing room with leaders, but also good people. Heung-min Son and James Maddison are really leading from the front in that respect, winning games but also acting as role models in the process.
