In his latest press conference, Tottenham Hotspur interim manager Cristian Stellini has shared an update on the fitness of three of his injured players – Richarlison, Ryan Sessegnon, and Ben Davies.
It’s safe to say Tottenham have not had the best of luck when it comes to injuries this season, with key players like Hugo Lloris, Rodrigo Bentancur, and Heung-min Son all missing extended periods of the campaign so far.
As we head into the final stretch of the season, it’s still all to play for with eight games to go.
Spurs will be hoping to climb above Manchester United and Newcastle United to seal a place in the top four of the Premier League and secure Champions League qualification for next season.
However, Stellini still appears to be unsure of when he can expect defenders Ben Davies and Ryan Sessegnon back in action, while Richarlison begins his recovery process.
Stellini told Football.London: “We have only Richarlison with one-week training with us.
“Only Richy completely back and we recover him, The other players they start to work but work alone so they are not available.
“We have to take care with him to give him training and the right time to play. Don’t take risks.”
On the status of Davies and Sessegnon, Stellini added: “[That] is a question for the doctor. They are not working with us. They are working alone.
“We are pushing and the doctor are trying to do their best to have them without risk as soon as possible, but it’s not a question for me, I don’t have a perfect answer.”

Richarlison coming back will be a huge boost for us going into the final run in this season.
We also need at least one of Sessegnon or Davies back soon, to provide cover on the left side of the defence, as it’s Perisic all on his own there at the moment.
