Destiny Udogie has made a great start to life at Tottenham Hotspur. He’s been so good, in fact, that people outside the club are beginning to ‘take notice’ of the Italian.
Signed from Udinese in the summer of 2022, Destiny Udogie remained with the Serie A side for the rest of the season to aid his development.
If the evidence of his early days at Tottenham are anything to go by, his development is moving along perfectly.
The 20-year-old has taken to the Premier League like a duck to water and has been a standout performer under Ange Postecoglou.
Udogie has started all six league games and has two assists to his name (Transfermarkt). The young wing-back has flourished in attacking areas, but it was his defensive work that was most impressive at the weekend.
Tasked with keeping Bukayo Saka at bay, Udogie took some time to settle into the North London derby, but by the second half, was the dominant force in the battle down that side of the pitch.

All eyes are on Destiny Udogie at Tottenham
According to Football.London, this young Spurs squad has the belief of their manager thanks to the impressive character of the players. It is said “nobody epitomised that more” than Udogie in the recent fixture.
Apparently, the displays of the young Italian are causing those “outside” North London to “take notice” of his talents.
Despite a difficult start to the game, Udogie has been praised for the fact he “did not hide”, and the report states he should take “huge confidence” from his showing.

I’ve been so impressed with Destiny Udogie and it’s hard to believe he is only 20 years old. The ceiling for this player is so high and I can’t wait to see him evolve with Tottenham. He’s a joy to watch.
